The Ski Chalet is based in the picturesque village of Uttendorf which is centrally located to reach some of the best skiing in Austria; the exclusive resort of Kitzbuehel can be reached via Hollersbach which is only a 5 minute drive from the doorstep. Uttendorf is on the edge of Zell am See so you're only a 10 min drive to one of the most idyllic areas of Austria.

One of the biggest advantages of the Ski chalet is that you're only a 20min drive to Kaprun, here you can Ski the Glacier all year round. So you can take the lift up, have a sunbath or drop on a pair of skis and enjoy some summertime skiing. So you really do have the Austrian Alps on your doorstep and have access to some of the best skiing in Europe.

Uttendorf has its own Ski Resort which is aimed for families especially if you're looking for a saving a bit of cash. The Ski Resort offers 2 children under the age of 12 can ski free if accompanied by their parents. The resort is smaller than the others in the area but you still get 23km's of pistes and these are generally quieter than Kitzbuehel & Zell. The good news is that the pricing for a week's skiing is much more reasonable than the main area which is a great advantage if you're on a tight budget.

Kitzsteinhorn is my personal favorite when it comes to snowboarding and is reachable in 20 mins. Catching some great powder but also jumping off the parks giant kickers and hitting the biggest halfpipe in Austria is a great way to spend your day. The area boasts wides glacial slopes with fantastic snow, varied routes for freeriders and three snow parks. Kitzsteinhorn offers unequalled range of winter sport opportunities plus you can enjoy the glacier centre at 3,000m. You can also enjoy some relaxing Apres Ski at the Ice Camp which offers a great experiance. The slopes are opem from early Autumn all the way through until late spring.
